20 of January, 2020: 100th anniversary of the birth of Federico Fellini, a giant in cinema history. His films, marked by his unique style blending fantasy and dreamlike images with earthiness, would not be the same without the original music by Nino Rota, his lifelong work partner.
In the album “Movin in the Movies”, by Trio Rota with Alberto Bocini on double bass, we can find some of greatest Rota’s soundtracks for Fellini’s movies – some extremely amazing pieces performed in skilled arrangement for trio and quartet.
The album includes the following soundtracks:
– I Clowns (Suite Drammatica)
– Lo sceicco bianco – I vitelloni – Le notti di Cabiria – Otto e mezzo (Suite felliniana ’52-’63)
– La strada – Amarcord – La dolce vita (Minisuite felliniana)
