Alberto Bocini è docente di contrabbasso alla Haute école de musique de Genève (Geneva HEM). Primo Contrabbasso per cinque anni nell’ Orchestra Nazionale dell’Accademia di Santa Cecilia e per quindici  anni nell’Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino; ha collaborato con lo stesso ruolo con numerose altre orchestre, fra le quali Teatro alla Scala di Milano, I Solisti Veneti, la London Symphony Orchestra. Ideatore dell'etichetta discografica/editoriale dedicata al contrabbasso NBBrecords. Membro fondatore del quartetto di contrabbassi The Bass Gang, presente nel catalogo NBBrecords con gli albums Evasioni e Fughe, La Contrabbassata e The Chianti Concert. Nel 2012 ha lasciato l’orchestra per dedicarsi con più intensità all’attività cameristica, solistica, all’insegnamento e alla composizione per il proprio strumento. Numerosi sono i suoi brani per contrabbasso solo, fino al recentissimo primo lavoro per contrabbasso e orchestra “XUITE-0, suite modulare per contrabbasso e orchestra” eseguita per la prima volta con l’Orchestra Sinfonica di Porto Alegre, in Brasile.   Alberto Bocini is double bass teacher at the Haute école de musique de Genève (Geneva HEM). He was principal Double Bass for 5 years in the Orchestra Nazionale dell’Accademia di Santa Cecilia and for 15 years he had the same position on the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra; he has collaborated in the same role with numerous other orchestras, such as Teatro alla Scala di Milano, I Solisti Veneti, the London Symphony Orchestra. Founder of the record label NBBrecords, dedicated to the double bass world. Founding member of the bass band quartet The Bass Gang, included in NBBrecords catalogue with the albums Evasioni e Fughe, La Contrabbassata e The Chianti Concert. In 2012 he left the orchestra to devote himself more intensely to the chamber, solo, teaching and composition for his instrument. There are many of his pieces for double bass solo, until the very recent first work for double bass anche orchestra "XUITE-0, modular suite for double bass and orchestra" performed for the first time with the Symphony Orchestra of Porto Alegre, in Brazil.

Nato a Verona nel 1969, ha studiato violino al Conservatorio della sua città dove si è diplomato con il massimo dei voti nel 1989. Dal 1990 al 1992 ha frequentato il Conservatorio Superiore di Musica di Ginevra nella classe del M° Corrado Romano ottenendo il "Premier Pix de Virtuosité" nel 1992. Nel 1993 si è trasferito in Olanda per studiare alla Hogeschool voor de Kunsten di Utrecht con Philippe Hirschhorn e Victor Liberman.
Fino al 1996 ha suonato come musicista ospite nella Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra di Amsterdam, ha suonato come solista con l'Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto e con l'Orchestra Haydn di Trento e Bolzano. Ha partecipato a numerosi festivals con l'Orchestra della Scala di Milano dove ricopriva il ruolo di spalla dell'orchestra e con la Chamber Orchestra of Europe. Nel 1998 è stato invitato a ricoprire il posto di spalla nell'Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino e a collaborare, nello stesso ruolo, con l'Orchestra di Tenerife, con l'Orchestra Filarmonica di Galicia e con il Liceu Opera Orchestra di Barcellona.
Dal 1999 è spalla dell'Orchestre National de Lyon e dedica il resto del suo tempo alla musica da camera, suonando in molti stati europei e in Giappone.

  Born in Verona (Italy) in 1969, studied violin in the Conservatorium of his hometown where he got the diploma with the highest marks in 1989. He attended the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Genève in the class of M° Corrado Romano obtaining the "Premier Prix de Virtuosité" in 1992. In 1993 he moved to Holland to study at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht with Philippe Hirschhorn and Victor Liberman. He attended several masterclasses given by Hermann Krebbers, Charles André Linale and Keiko Wataya as well, and got the soloist diploma in 1996.
He played in several festivals with the Orchestra della Scala di Milano where he was concertmaster and with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. In 1998 he has been invited to cover the concertmaster position in the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, in the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, in the Philarmonic Orchestra of Galicia and in the Liceu Opera Orchestra in Barcelona.
Since 1999 he is concertmaster in the Orchestre National de Lyon and dedicates the rest of his time in chamber music.

Naomi Yanagawa è nata a Tokyo e si è laureata presso la rinomata Tokyo University of Fine Arts. Subito dopo è stata assunta come prima viola alla Tokyo City Philarmonic Orchestra. Nel 1986 si è trasferita in Italia per studiare con il M° Piero Farulli. Dopo avere collaborato con varie orchestre italiane, dal 1989 fa parte stabilmente dell'Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino di Firenze.   Naomi Yanagawa was born in Tokyo and obtained a degree at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts. Soon after became principal viola at Tokyo City Philarmonic Orchestra. In 1986 she moved to Italy in order to study with M° Piero Farulli. Since 1989 and after many collaborations with several italian orchestras, she is part of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra in Florence, Italy.

Si è diplomata a Firenze sotto la guida di Franco Rossi. Ha fatto parte di importanti gruppi cameristici coi quali ha partecipato ai più prestigiosi Festivals di musica contemporanea. Ha frequentato l'Accademia di Musica da Camera di Mestre con A. Meunier e D. Asciolla e i Corsi di Musica da Camera della Scuola di Musica di Fiesole con M . Brainin. Ha inoltre collaborato con i Solisti Veneti di C. Scimone suonando anche, da solista, nei più famosi teatri europei.
Dal 1983 è violoncellista nell'Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
Dal 1997 studia la viola da gamba e la musica antica.

Anna Pegoretti graduated in Florence under the guidance of Franco Rossi. She played in several important chamber groups, appearing in major contemporary music festivals in Europe. Sge studied at the Accademia di Musica da Camera di Mestre with A. Meunier and D. Asciolla and at the Corsi di Musica da Camera della Scuola di Musica di Fiesole with A. Branin. She also collaborated with Solisti Veneti conductor C. Scimone, as soloist too, in the most famous european theaters.
From 1984 she is the cellist in the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra.
In addition to cello, she dedicates her practicing to viola da gamba and ancient music.

Massimiliano Murrali graduated summa cum laude from the Conservatory "L. Cherubini" in piano performance under tutelage of G. Sacchetti. A native from Florence, Italy, Mr. Murrali continued further studies in piano and vocal coaching at the Academy “Mozarteum” in Salzburg, and conducting under the guidance of Sergiu Celibidache and Piero Bellugi.

As coach/assistant conductor Mr. Murrali has worked in such prestigious opera houses as Teatro alla Scala, the Bavarian State Opera, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Göteborg Symphony Orchestra, Palau de les Arts of Valencia, the Benjamin Britten Festival of Aldenburgh, the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari, Teatro Verdi of Pisa and the Grand Theatre of Shanghai, and assisted some of the world’s famous conductors including Mehta, Maazel, Muti, Nagano, Bartoletti, Gatti, Luisi, Bichkov, Bolton, Gavazzeni, Prêtre, Myung-Whun Chung, Frühbeck-de Burgos, Viotti, and Schneider. He has held the position of assistant chorus master at the Teatro alla Scala.

A frequent guest at opera houses and concert stages in Europe and Asia, Mr. Murrali has conducted Madama Butterfly in Fukuoka, Japan; Il signor Bruschino in Barga, Italy; Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle in Wales, North Ireland and Italy; Norma with the BBC Ulster Orchestra; L’elisir d’amore with the Münchner Rundfunk Orchester; I due foscari with the Teatro Massimo of Palermo.

In concert he has conducted the Orchestra and the Chorus of Teatro Lirico of Cagliari, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, l'Orchestra da Camera di Mantova, Concerto Koeln, gala with tenor Josepha Calleja at the Bad Kissingen Festival, opera galas with the young artists of the Teatro alla Scala Opera Studio, Liechtenstein Symphony Orchester, the Xi'an Symphony Orchestra in China, and the Ferenc Liszt Orchestra at the Esterhazy Festival in Austria.

At the invitation of Kent Nagano, Mr. Murrali conducted a concert with the winners of Operalia Competition at the Belcanto Festival in Knowlton, Canada, and the closing concert of the Reate Festival which was broadcasted by the Italian radio station Rai Uno.

As a recitalist, Mr. Murrali has performed in the most important international concert venues as the Grosser Saal in Salzburg, Staatsoper Köln in Cologne, National Theater in Munich, Salle Gaveau and Théâtre Châlet in Paris, Festival du Mentons in France, Savonlinna Festival in Finland, Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, Teatro della Pergola in Florence, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Macerata Festival, Festival ‘900 in Bologna and Trento, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Symphony Hall in Chicago, among others. He has also toured extensively in Japan and Korea with sopranos Sumi Jo and Eri Nakamura.

Mr. Murrali now resides in Munich, Germany, where he has conducted opera galas with the young artists of the Bavarian State Opera in Histoire du soldat and Mauricio Kagel’s Die Stücke der Windrose; Luciano Berio’s Folksongs with mezzosoprano Monica Bacelli and soloists of the Bavarian State Orchestra; Opera Gala with baritone Paolo Gavanelli at the Herkulessaal in Munich; Maria Stuarda at the Philharmonie.
